明るい住宅状況！
カリフォルニアの住宅建設は過去41年最高を予測。

2003年には1989年以来どの年より多くの家屋建設が予測され、その最大部分を占めるのが南カリフォルニアです。カリフォルニア住宅建設協会によれば、需要上昇に促され今年170,000戸の建設が計画されています。これは昨年より3.7%の増加で、アメリカ全土成長率を超えています。この前の建設ブーム最後の年の270,000戸以来の強力な成長となります。
これはカリフォルニアにとってグッドニュースで、住宅不足を補い、また家具、ガラス、石工、木材等の関連企業にとり良い支援となります。改築を含む個人住宅建設への支出は本年340億ドルが予測されています。(“LAタイムス”紙より)

Housing Expected to Shine
California is expected to hit a 41 years high in home construction.

More homes are expected to be built in 2003 than in any year since 1989 with the largest portion in Southern California. Fueled by rising demand, an estimated 170,000 houses are projected to be built this year according to a recent report by the California Building Association.
That will be 3.7% increase from last year ? outperforming the national home growth rate. It is the strongest growth since the 270,000 homes went up in the final year of the last building boom.
This is a good news for California. It will help ease the housing shortage and give a boost to all related business's: such as furniture, glass, stone and wood. The amount spent on residential building including remodeling is expected to be $34 billion this year. (Los Angels Times)
