Why
home prices in the beach area of L.A. are not going
down? Higher Demand
The demand
for these homes is coming from many different groups
of people, some old and some new. These beach areas
have been growing while many U.S. areas have dropped
in real estate sales. The older reasons are Americans
like to move out of the snow belt states and their idea
of California is “the Beach”. The reputation for style
trends and beach life style also attracts young and
old. Divorced and retired people like to start over
in a safe and beautiful area. Their home purchases here
continue to grow in value.
The
newer groups of people that are buying homes are singles.
In the past 10 years single women have increased home
purchases from 14% to 21% (1995 ? 2005). Owning a home
is no more burdensome than renting. (quotes from Realtor
Magazine)
We
may not have 20% housing price increases at this moment,
but the
appreciation
is still excellent. Southern California beach towns
are still a great place to invest and enjoy a home for
business and family.
P.S. Being close to an
international airport is a real bonus for all the self
emplyed and executive business travelers. |
